As you all know, Niigata City has also seen a number of cases involving the coronavirus and on March 3 the Niigata Diocese Administrator, Archbishop Isao Kikuchi, gave the following guidelines in order to deal with the situation.

1. Masses with the Congregation are cancelled.
Time Frame: March 4 (Wed) to March 21 (Sat)
Regular schedule of masses will resume from March 22.

2. Weddings and Funerals may proceed as scheduled
after taking the necessary precautions.

During the period that masses are cancelled, everyone is encouraged to read the bible and offer prayers. The Tokyo Archdiocese Website will broadcast live a Sunday Mass on YouTube. If you can access this, we recommend that you participate in this spiritual communion.
There is also a possibility to visit the Church individually and pray. When you enter the Church please do not forget to disinfect your hands with the hand sanitizer placed by the door.
